A very successful entrepreneur running a global business he founded, had also conceived a bespoke new-build house for him and his family. The key goal was to capture some of the spirit of Art Nouveau whilst also delivering a home that would suit the needs of his close family life.
We were engaged after the design had been conceived and planning permission obtained. Our role was to manage the detailed development of the interiors specification and of the hand-made exterior cladding, manage the professional team in the development of the construction drawings, develop the budget and assist in the selection and appointment of the appropriate contractor.
The project was not without its own issues, however we completed our role - finally assisting in negotiating the contractor to a fixed and capped price- and work commenced on site mid-2011. It is expected to be a minimum 2 year build.
